*Job Summary*
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking *Ophthalmic Technician *to join the Pediatric multidisciplinary team. This position full-time (40 hrs/week) working Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm. *Sign on bonus and relocation assistance eligible. *

*Requirements for consideration:*
* High School diploma or GED
* Three years as an Ophthalmic Technician
* Hospital experience must be within the last five years.
* Ophthalmic technician certification, highly preferred
* Experience working with pediatric population desired

*Job Responsibilities:*
* The Ophthalmic Technician performs comprehensive testing and eye evaluations to ensure optimum vision for all Eye Clinic patients.
* Performs various testing (e.g. visual field tests, acuity testing, color vision testing, potential acuity meter testing, biometric A-scans, external and slit lamp examinations, and pachymetry testing).
* Utilizes standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery by incorporating data and information to continuously improve care and practice while enhancing patient outcomes.
* Conducts routine cleaning, maintenance, calibration, and minor adjustments/repairs on all clinic equipment. Notifies the appropriate department for additional maintenance. Performs the surgical scheduling process for all Eye Clinic patients.
* Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others while showing respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
* May perform additional duties as assigned.
