AtWork Medical is currently seeking an experienced and motivated *CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Surgical Technician* to join our team in Webster, Texas. This role is a contract dayshift 7:00 am to 7:00 pm position and is vital to the successful performance of cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring that the operating room is prepared and assisting surgeons during procedures to provide top-quality patient care.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular surgeries by setting up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
* Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and ensuring that the operating field remains sterile.
* Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control policies.
* Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during complex cardiovascular procedures.
* Handle and maintain surgical instruments, ensuring they are clean, sterile, and in proper working condition.
* Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery.
* Monitor and assess equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning properly before and during surgery.
* Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure patient safety and the highest standard of care.
* Accurately label and handle specimens for laboratory analysis.
* Restock supplies and maintain equipment for future procedures.

*Qualifications:*
* Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
* Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), required.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR or specialized cardiovascular surgical environment. Experience in Open Heart and Endovascular.
* In-depth understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures, techniques, and instruments.
* Strong ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of sterile field maintenance and infection control procedures.
* BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.

*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Prior experience assisting with cardiovascular surgeries such as bypass, valve replacement, or other cardiac procedures.
* Experience working with surgical robotics and other advanced cardiovascular equipment.

*Physical Requirements:*
* Ability to stand for long periods of time in the operating room.
* Ability to lift and move surgical equipment and patients as needed.
* Fine motor skills, dexterity, and visual acuity are essential to perform tasks during surgery.

*Work Schedule:*
* Full-time position with rotating shifts, including potential on-call, weekends, and holiday coverage.
