The Assistant Controller will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensuring the timely and accurate production of financial accounting reports and analysis. This position will oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other general ledger activities of the Company, while supporting all aspects of the monthly financial close, account reconciliation and financial reporting processes. This role will report to the Controller.

Essential Job Duties

Manage day-to-day shared service accounting operations, including oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash processes.
Assist the Controller in managing the monthly close, preparing journal entries, as needed, and preparing/reviewing account reconciliations.
Manage the audit process, working directly with external auditors on year-end and interim audit requirements.
Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
Contribute to plans to optimize ERP systems to meet internal and external stakeholder needs.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Examples include, but not limited to the following: balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, process narratives, etc. Monitor and evaluate control effectiveness and address any deficiencies or issues.
Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct or Indirect):

Directly supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable functional leads
Indirectly supervise a team of three within the Controllership function

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with experience in corporate accounting.
2+ years of management experience.

Experience with Oracle Fusion

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Must have strong excel skills
Must think critically and possess strong analytical skills
Must show great attention to detail
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
Strong teamwork and technical skills are required.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

Office environment, requires walking, standing, or sitting for several hours at a time.
Perform repetitive motion tasks on computer.
May require occasional travel.
