Hours of Operation:

Monday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sunday: Closed

About Harbor Animal Hospital:

Harbor Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Ned Bartlett in 1988 with the intention of providing superior and compassionate veterinary services for dogs, cats, exotics, and the humans who love them. Over the years, our doctors and staff have formed lasting relationships with our clients and their irreplaceable pets. On February 6, 1988, Dr. Bartlett saw his first patient at Harbor Animal Hospital. Since then, he and the dedicated Harbor team have cared for many more.

Following Dr. Bartlett's retirement, Dr. Brooke Kinroth took over ownership of Harbor Animal Hospital in 2024. Thanks to Dr. Kinroth's passion, leadership, wealth of experience, and commitment to top-quality pet care, the legacy of Harbor Animal Hospital will continue to live on for years to come.

Meet our Medical Director & Co-Owner, Dr. Brooke Kinroth: Dr. Brooke Kinroth graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from Blackburn College and went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2021. Dr. Kinroth has a particular interest in exotic and pocket pet health, surgery, oncology, and end-of-life care. Originally from South Beloit, IL, Dr. Kinroth now resides in Winthrop Harbor, IL. She lives here with her wife (Kendra) and their feisty three-year-old daughter (Piper). Dr. Kinroth has four dogs, four cats, and mischievous rats. In her free time, Dr. Kinroth loves reading from her massive collection of books, horses and trail riding, and hiking with her dogs.
