*Clinical Educator Nursing – Behavioral Health *

Inova Health System’s *Mount Vernon Hospital* is looking for a *Clinical Educator Nursing* to join our team supporting Behavioral Health. This role is *full-time, M-F, typical office hours *(with an occasional off shift variable night)*.*

*Responsibilities:*

The Clinical Educator Nursing conducts educational assessments to identify learning needs using standards of specialty nursing practices, clinical pathways and guidance from nursing strategic initiatives. Assesses, designs/plans, implements and evaluates educational programming for growth in knowledge, skills, practice and attitudes. Creates educational experiences for both new and experienced team members through integration of theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles, and clinical nursing expertise. *Requirements:*
* *Hours*: f*ull-time, M-F, typical office hours *(with an occasional off shift variable night)
* *Location*: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital
* *Education*: Master's Degree in Nursing, HealthCare, Education and/or other relevant field.
* *Experience*: Two (2) years of progressive experience in nursing in Behavioral Health, 2 years in nursing education.
* *Certification*: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License
