*Job Summary*

At Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, we are looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team for the night shift. *Responsibilities*
* Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients, monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including catheterization and gastric lavage when necessary.
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Provide pain management strategies tailored to each patient's needs.
* Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
* Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
* Assist in the care of pediatric patients when required, demonstrating experience in infant care and senior care settings.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the ICU environment.

*Skills*
* Proficient in catheterization techniques and other critical nursing procedures.
* Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of pain management practices.
* Ability to provide compassionate home care for patients transitioning from hospital to home settings.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient documentation and care delivery.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.

*Qualifications*
* Critical care experience
* Cardiac catheterization skills
* Proficiency in Epic and EMR systems
* Ability to perform catheterization and IV insertion
* Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
* Experience in pain management and senior care
* Excellent communication skills for patient care and documentation
* Familiarity with home & community care and ICU settings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.75 - $62.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
