The CVOR is located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus within the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute (IHVI) for adult cardiac surgery and Inova Women’s and Children’s Hospital for pediatric/congenital cardiac surgery. The CVORs are state of the art with Stryker integrated video and a Philips (Single Plane) Hybrid OR with a total of 7 operating rooms serving all cardiac surgery needs including thoracic organ transplant (heart and lung), mechanical circulatory support, structural heart, congenital, and advanced aortic surgery.

*Position Summary:*
* The Surgical Technologist CVOR acts as a resource in an Inova Fairfax Medical Campus CVOR. Assists OR Service Leader to ensure unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and JCAHO standards.
* Demonstrates leadership traits and supporting behavioral competencies.
* Assists the OR Service Leader in analyzing data, ensuring team adherence to performance standards, and improving processes continuously.
* Serves as primary liaison and information resource for specialty.
* Oversees the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic, evidence-based environment that produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes.

*Position Requirements:*
* High School Diploma or GED
* 2-year experience as a Surgical Technologist n cardiac surgery required
* Licensed Surgical Technologist via Commonwealth of Virginia required upon Start
* Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon Start
* One of the following Surgical Technologist certifications required Upon start; (CST) via NBSTSA -or- Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT.

Pay: $36.32 - $59.02 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
