Nuclear Medicine Technologist

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for patient care, comfort and safety including radiation safety/regulations, proper documentation and techniques when working with radioactive materials/patients in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
· Responsible for competent operation of SPECT and dedicated cardiac PET camera systems to produce high quality diagnostic images.
· Effectively communicate with patients, clerical & clinical staff, and physicians.
· Perform equipment quality checks, troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise; place service calls, and notify all pertinent team members of any equipment issues.
· Complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently, as assigned.

*Qualifications: *The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
*Education:* Graduate of JCERT Accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
*Credentials*: Current CNMT certification, current BLS certification, current State of Maryland Board Licensure.
*Experience: *(1) year experience as a Nuclear Technologist, Bi-lingual (Spanish) and E-soft Cardiac Processing Software preferred.
*Things that are a plus:*
· Microsoft Office Suite experience/proficiency
· Venipuncture experience/proficiency
· DOT HAZMAT Shipping certification
· Prior experience working with radioactive generators
*Competencies:* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate providing feedback in a professional manner. Must be able to follow and understand instructions and react favorably in all work situations. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within a medical practice work environment.
