Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, inpatient facilities, and home health environments. Your primary focus will be to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology and various therapeutic techniques.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
* Provide direct patient care, including administering exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities as directed.
* Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
* Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in accordance with facility policies.
* Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
* Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy and participate in continuing education opportunities.
*Qualifications*
* Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of human physiology.
* Experience or familiarity with geriatrics, orthopedics, acute care, inpatient settings, clinics, home health care, and trigger point therapy is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
* Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting and assisting patients as needed.
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
