The Clinic Staff Nurse performs a variety of professional nursing care procedures and treatments for outpatient, specialty clinics, and urgent care. The nurse assesses patients of all ages, initiates treatment, administers therapeutic measures and collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team. The position reports to the Supervisory Clinic Nurse.

This position is located in the new NIHC building located at 51 Old Mill Rd in Charlestown, RI. Charlestown and other local area towns have beautiful beaches, nearby. The Mashantucket Pequot Museum is about 30 minutes south of us, the Mohegan Museum is about 48 minutes from us and there are many other attractions in and around Southern RI, not far from our location.

The investigation must find that you are suitable for employment in your position. If you are found not suitable , you will be terminated after you begin work. You must provide 3 professional references, your requested salary, a copy of your current, valid, unrestricted license from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territory of the United Sates. This position is covered by Public Law 101-630, the Indian Child Protection and family Violence Protection Act(25 United States Code Chapter 34) requiring contact or control over Indian children. Due to this law, the agency must ensure that persons hired for these positions have not been found guilty of or pleaded nolo contendere or guilty to certain crimes. Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957. Seasonal influenza immunization is required for civilian health care facility staff. COVID-19 vaccination is required. Other immunizations as required by HTTPS://rules.sos.ri.gov/regulations/part/216-20-15-7.
