We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in helping patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life.
*Duties*
* Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
* Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
* Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with facility policies.
* Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients post-treatment.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs.
* Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
*Qualifications*
* Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
* Knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
* Familiarity with physiology principles relevant to patient care.
* Experience in various settings such as inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, or home health is preferred.
* Understanding of discharge planning processes for effective patient transitions.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient care.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in physical therapy practice.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
