Essential Functions
Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS network/server infrastructure, including VPC, subnets, security groups, route tables, and other network-related AWS services
Manage Help Desk Operations: Lead a team of help desk technicians, prioritize and assign tasks, and ensure prompt and effective resolution of user inquiries and technical issues related to the network server infrastructure
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the help desk and network/server management functions, striving for increased efficiency and effectiveness
Vendor Management: Collaborate with AWS support and other technology vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues and manage vendor relationships effectively
Change Management: Coordinate and oversee the implementation of changes to the network/server environment, ensuring proper testing, documentation, and communication to minimize disruption to users
Capacity Planning and Scalability: Analyze network capacity requirements, monitor network traffic, and plan for scalability to ensure the network infrastructure can support growing business needs
Network Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Manage implementation of network monitoring tools, analyze network performance metrics, and proactively identify and resolve network performance issues to ensure optimal server performance
Network Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce network security best practices, conduct regular security audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups
Controls budget and reports on IT expenditures
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the technology field with increasing roles and responsibilities
Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role; minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role in an IT setting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions
Sound understanding of AWS environment, Servers, networks, etc.
Experience in controlling information technology budget
Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats
Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication abilities; strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a broad base of customers, suppliers, and sales force personnel
Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Exertion of up to 40 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
