Genie Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced *LPN Med Surg* to fill an opening located in Lawton, OK with $37.5/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)

*Requirements of the LPN Med Surg:*

● Must have AHA BLS/BCLS certification

● Must have valid OK LPN License or Compact license.

● Must have at least 2 years of experience as an *LPN Med Surg*.

*Responsibilities of the LPN Med Surg:*

● Shift: Nights (3\*12)

● 36 hours/week.

● 13-week contract

● Patient care: Providing direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility.

● Vital signs: Frequently monitoring and recording patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.

● Medications: Administering medications, including oral, injectable, and intravenous treatments, as prescribed.

● Wound care: Caring for surgical wounds, changing dressings, and monitoring for signs of infection.

● Patient assessments: Conducting basic patient assessments and reporting findings to RNs and physicians.

● Patient education: Educating patients and their families about post-operative care, medications, and lifestyle changes.

● Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including charts and electronic health records.

● Collaboration: Working closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

● Infection control: Following strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.

● Emotional support: Providing emotional support to patients and their families during recovery.
