*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, acute care facilities, and home health environments. This role is crucial in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through effective rehabilitation strategies.

*Responsibilities*
* Collaborate with physical therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
* Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living.
* Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including progress notes and discharge planning.
* Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
* Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.

*Qualifications*
* Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
* Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
* Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physical therapy practices.
* Experience in acute care, inpatient settings, or home health preferred but not required.
* Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the development of care plans is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
