Responsibilities Design of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities Conduct site visits, inspections, field surveys to support design and construction phases Preparation of construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, riser diagrams and details Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other team members. Review of submittals and RFIs during construction administration Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projects Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD) Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar 3-7 years of relevant Plumbing and Fire Protection design experience Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IPC, ASPE). Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with hydraulic calculation software. Strong communication and organizational skills. EIT certification preferred, PE license in progress. Preferred Skills: Ability to work independently with general instructions / guidance from senior engineers to produce the expected results Experience with sustainable design and LEED-certified projects.
