About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Equipment Installer to join their fully remote technical team. In this crucial role, you will remotely guide and supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the seamless operation of networks and communication systems for clients across the country. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of telecommunications hardware, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to effectively communicate technical instructions to on-site field teams. You will play a key part in maintaining network integrity and performance, working in a collaborative, results-oriented remote environment that values expertise and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Remotely direct and monitor the installation of telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, and servers.
- Provide expert remote support for troubleshooting and resolving network and equipment issues.
- Develop and document detailed installation procedures and best practices for field technicians.
- Analyze network performance data and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to plan and execute network upgrades.
- Conduct remote assessments of existing infrastructure and recommend upgrades or replacements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and hardware (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Proficiency in using remote monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills for guiding field personnel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a complex network environment.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
