Reports To: Director of Adult Education or Designee
Supervises: N/A
Terms Of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the Board
Primary Function: To help CDP students acquire digital skills
Required Qualifications:
- As set by the State certification requirements for the teaching area: Business (010) and CDP (106)
- 1-2 years of experience teaching digital skills to adults
- Prior experiences working in an environment with adult learners
Typical Duties And Responsibilities:
- Instruct adult students on digital skills.
- Assess students' readiness to take computer-based assessments.
- Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.
- Create projects designed to enhance instruction.
- Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.
- Utilize various curriculum resources.
- Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
- Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Observe and evaluate student's performance.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom.
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Bilingual, (English and Spanish)
Evaluation: Annually by the Director of Adult Education or designee
Salary: $30/hour
