Job Summary:
This role involves orienting and training pharmacy technicians, evaluating their performance, and scheduling them. It also entails coordinating workflow and ensuring the quality of pharmacy operations in collaboration with pharmacist supervisors and managers.
Responsibilities:
Meet the expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Maintain consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies through appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
Participate in the training of new associates in dispensing technologies, pharmacy operating systems, and processing third-party insurance claims.
Coordinate unit-based dispensing user access and request/education documentation maintenance.
Perform outpatient distributive functions, including entering prescription orders, selecting medications, and coordinating delivery for patient pick-up or delivery.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of inventory control policies to ensure cleanliness, medication dates, and proper inventory levels.
Cross-train in Pharmacy Buyer duties and perform tasks when necessary.
Conduct Quality Assurance activities related to Retail pharmacy associate work quality, including monitoring adverse drug events, maintaining inventory par levels, POS cash management, and customer service competencies.
Serve as a leader in Retail Pharmacy, suggesting efficiency improvements, training new personnel, and promoting a positive work attitude and respect for co-workers.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma required
Experience: 4-6 years of technical experience, 0-2 years of Leadership/Management experience
Licenses/Certifications: CPHTNATL certification required
