Receiving and Inventory Control Specialist

Job TypeFull-time Description Purpose for Role The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing the flow of materials in and out of the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with shipments as needed. The position ensures proper handling, organization, and accountability of raw materials within the warehouse. Roles and Responsibilities Receiving Oversee the receipt of all incoming deliveries and distribute to the correct department Verify shipments' accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists Identify, document, and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Purchasing team Record and process all received goods in the ERP system when necessary Physically store raw materials in designated warehouse locations according to inventory procedures Raw Materials Management Ensure all raw materials are properly labeled, stored, and rotated according to FIFO principles Deliver raw materials from the warehouse to designated point-of-use racks or production areas as requested Collaborate with purchasing, production, and quality assurance teams to communicate inventory levels, shortages, or quality issues Maintain control of QA hold materials and ensure inspection is complete before release Regularly review expiration dates and coordinate safe disposal of expired chemicals Assist in identifying trends to improve inventory turnover and purchasing accuracy Keep ERP records accurate and current for all raw material movements Conduct regular inventory counts Supply Chain Support Work with the Procurement Manager and Global Supply Chain Director to optimize raw material management processes Attend weekly planning meetings Assist with internal and external audits Support finished goods and shipping functions as required Any other duties assigned The Individual Required Qualifications Driven to identify and reduce waste in daily responsibilities Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on shared goals and continuous improvement Approaches daily work with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and pride in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse Seeks to contribute to a culture focused on being humble, collaborative, and driven.
