From original games to experiences inspired by established creator IP, we're building a multidisciplinary team that can take a great idea and turn it into a game that feels authentic to the creator, exciting to their community, and compelling on the table.
Job Overview
This is a contract role to assist with a current product launch in Q4 2026 with the potential to move to an full time employee position dependent on business needs. The Community & Crowdfunding Specialist runs the day-to-day execution of tabletop crowdfunding campaigns and the communities around them.
Working closely with the producer, this person brings the creator’s vision to life from pre-launch through fulfillment communications. They coordinate campaign pages, assets, partners, backer engagement, and reporting, building a repeatable approach for future launches.
Contractor role through mid-December with ability for contract extension or contract-to-hire dependent on continued need.
What You’ll Do
Crowdfunding Campaign Management
Own daily campaign execution across Kickstarter, Gamefound, BackerKit, and other relevant platforms.
- Build and QA campaign pages, rewards, add-ons, stretch goals, pricing, shipping details, FAQs, and updates.
- Coordinate copy, creative assets, video, approvals, and launch calendars across teams and freelancers.
- Monitor live performance and community trends; flag risks and opportunities to the Head of Games.
- Execute reveals, promotions, and other campaign changes; support pledge managers, surveys, late pledges, and fulfillment handoff.
Community Management
- Own the backer experience before, during, and after each campaign.
- Respond to comments and questions in the creator’s voice, maintain FAQs, and communicate regularly through production and fulfillment.
- Escalate sensitive issues promptly and turn recurring feedback into useful insights for the Games team.
- Create engagement opportunities such as polls, reveals, and community events where appropriate.
Campaign Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate execution of the marketing plan with the Head of Games, Marketing, creators, licensors, PR teams, and agencies.
- Manage the marketing calendar, assets, links, and deadlines across creator content, email, social, PR, livestreams, paid media, and cross-promotions.
- Track audience acquisition, traffic, conversion, and mid-campaign performance to identify timely opportunities.
- Overall paid-media and division marketing strategy remain with the relevant leaders.
Campaign Merchandising
- Work with the Head of Games and product team on reward tiers, add-ons, bundles, upgrades, stretch goals, exclusives, retailer offers, and late pledges.
- The Head of Games makes final decisions on pricing, margins, campaign economics, and greenlights.
Reporting & Analytics
- Track pre-launch audiences, day-one conversion, funding velocity, backers, average order value, traffic sources, add-ons, upgrades, cancellations, and pledge-manager performance.
- Provide concise reporting on meaningful changes and recommended actions.
- Document lessons after each campaign to improve the next launch.
