About the Role
Our client is seeking an energetic and dedicated Youth Sports Program Director to lead and expand their offerings for young athletes in the Dallas area. This hybrid role requires a balance of remote administrative planning and on-site engagement with children, parents, and coaches. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a variety of youth sports programs, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for youth development through sports, strong leadership capabilities, and experience in program management within the Leisure & Sports sector. Your role will be crucial in fostering a positive introduction to sports for hundreds of young participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule, and oversee diverse youth sports programs, ensuring age-appropriateness and skill progression.
- Recruit, train, and manage coaches and volunteers, providing ongoing support and evaluation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants through adherence to established protocols.
- Manage program budgets, including equipment procurement and facility rentals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Collaborate with community partners and local schools to promote program participation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in youth sports programming, coaching, or management.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and safe sports practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage both remote planning tasks and on-site program delivery in Dallas .
- CPR and First Aid certifications required.
