This role involves medication order verification, clinical review, and supervision of pharmacy support staff while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.Unit OverviewLicensed Beds: 245Pharmacy Staff: 38 totalNight Shift Coverage:1 Central Pharmacist1 Pharmacy TechnicianEMR System: MeditechEquipment: Standard pharmacy systemsKey ResponsibilitiesMedication order verification and entryPerform final dispensing checks and complete required documentationSupervise technical support personnel in medication preparation and distributionReview and monitor override and compliance reportsPerform clinical dosing adjustments, including vancomycin and renal dosingEnsure adherence to pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesRequired QualificationsActive Texas Pharmacist License (Texas State Board of Pharmacy)Minimum 2 years of recent hospital pharmacy experienceProof of completion of a 20-hour ACPE-accredited sterile compounding course(University or college attestation accepted)Preferred QualificationsExperience with Meditech EMRDecentralized pharmacy experienceClinical dosing experience (vancomycin and renal adjustments)Schedule & Coverage7 on / 7 off rotationRotating weekends (every other weekend)No on-call requirementFloating within pharmacy scope as neededApply Now
