Job Description Job Description Aegis Worldwide Supplier Tooling Engineer 1st SHIFT/$110k-$140k/Full-Time Troy, MI Overview: Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with an automotive supplier of engineered components and systems. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a minimum of 5 years of tooling industry experience; stamping and plastics manufacturing experience preferred. Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, with the ability to review 3D models using CAD/NX/SolidWorks and apply GD&T principles. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally to supplier locations. Responsibilities: Manage supplier tooling for stampings, castings, cold forming, spring winding, welding, and plastic components. Ensure supplier compliance with internal tooling processes, procedures, documentation, and maintain accurate records in the tooling database. Support Purchasing by reviewing supplier tooling quotes to ensure appropriate labor and machine rates by region and identifying annual cost-savings opportunities. Coordinate tooling audits, refurbishment requests, and tooling transfers between suppliers while supporting customer and recovery activities.
