We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Analyst to support clinical research teams with clinical trial budgeting, coverage analysis, study documentation, and research administration. This is a fully remote opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong clinical research budgeting experience and advanced Excel skills. This is a contracted role for the next 6 months+ in duration and is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain clinical research budgets for industry, federally sponsored, and investigator-sponsored clinical trials
- Perform coverage analysis and determine appropriate billing/charge segregation based on clinical trial protocols
- Develop study calendars, coverage analysis reports, charge segregation, and other clinical trial documentation
- Review clinical research documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable research billing rules and policies
- Support budget development and negotiation for clinical trials
- Assist with quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Analyze AR, reconciliations, and related financial information
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide timely updates
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance and feedback
- Support client-specific needs and contribute to process improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of budgeting and forecasting experience
- 2+ years of experience developing budgets for clinical trials or clinical research
- 3+ years of clinical research administration experience
- Experience with clinical trial coverage analysis
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of AR, reconciliations, and financial processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- U.S. work authorization required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical trial budget development and negotiation experience
- Knowledge of clinical trial policies and research billing rules
- Medical coding or medical billing experience
- Experience with quality assurance reviews
- Experience training or mentoring junior team members
- Experience identifying process improvements within clinical research administration
