Norman Regional Health System: Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System.
About Us Norman Regional Health System is a leading healthcare provider in the Oklahoma City metro area, recognized for its innovative cardiovascular program and commitment to patient excellence. Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
We work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to deliver exceptional patient care. Our hospital has earned prestigious awards, including the American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation, American College of Cardiology NCDR Registry Gold Award, Women's Choice Award in Heart Care, Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation, and American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation.
Job Summary Prepare and operate cardiovascular imaging equipment while providing exceptional patient care in a sterile environment.
Train new staff members and maintain strong professional relationships with cardiologists and leadership to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participates in the orientation of new staff.
Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with eligibility for or current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training, required during orientation prior to providing patient care; ongoing maintenance through re-training is essential.
American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration, either Registered Radiographer (R) or Certified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
Prior experience working in a procedural area is preferred.
Advanced Life Support certification must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Compensation and Benefits $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
