About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Engineer to join their fully remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security architecture that protects the company's critical infrastructure and data. You will play a crucial part in proactively identifying and mitigating cyber threats, ensuring the resilience and integrity of our systems, and supporting a secure remote work environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy security solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Develop and automate security processes, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms.
- Conduct security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improving security posture.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Respond to and manage security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering.
- Deep understanding of network security , cryptography, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Hands-on experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center) and container security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis.
