About the Role: The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within the facility located in Walnut Ridge, WAL. This position requires a hands-on professional who can diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment and infrastructure components to minimize downtime and extend asset life. The technician will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions to maintain optimal functionality. Collaboration with other team members and clear communication with management are essential to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports overall business operations and employee well-being. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in maintenance roles involving plumbing, electrical wiring, mechanical repair, and carpentry. Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and precision measuring techniques. Good hearing and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate with team members. Preferred Qualifications: Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, or related fields. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to facility maintenance. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Previous experience working in an industrial or commercial facility environment. Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and carpentry elements to ensure operational reliability. Use precision measuring tools to assess equipment and structural components for wear, alignment, and compliance with safety standards. Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions, then execute timely repairs or coordinate with specialized contractors as needed. Install, repair, and maintain drywall, cabinetry, and other structural elements to uphold facility standards. Climb ladders and access elevated areas safely to inspect and service equipment or building infrastructure. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and work orders to support asset management and compliance. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report issues, recommend improvements, and ensure maintenance priorities are met. Skills: The required skills such as plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical repair are applied daily to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Precision measuring is essential for assessing equipment condition and performing accurate repairs or installations. Carpentry and drywall skills are utilized to maintain and restore structural elements of the facility, contributing to a safe and functional environment. The ability to climb ladders safely allows the technician to access hard-to-reach areas for inspection and maintenance tasks. Effective communication and hearing skills enable the technician to understand work orders, coordinate with team members, and report on maintenance activities clearly and accurately.
