Job Summary The Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist plays a vital role in the cardiovascular department at Norman Regional Health System, preparing equipment and providing patient care during procedures.
Responsibilities: Prepare equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
Assess patient conditions, prepare, position, and provide patient care to meet individual needs.
Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures to prevent infection and promote healing.
Participate in precepting new hires and radiology students, contributing to the growth and development of team members.
Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by Charge persons or managers.
Foster strong professional relationships with cardiologists and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care and improve outcomes.
Qualifications and Education: To be successful as a Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist, applicants must have:
A degree from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
One year of experience working in a Cath Lab is preferred.
Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
BLS certification is required; ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Compensation and Benefits: Norman Regional Health System offers a competitive compensation package, including:
$27.84-$45.46 per hour based on previous work experience.
