Job Overview
The Senior GL Accountant (SGA) will oversee financial records and general ledgers while performing accounting and reconciliations for assigned entities. SGA will support audit preparations, ensure GAAP compliance, and participate in our ERP system implementation.
The position is based in Warsaw, Poland.
Key Responsibilities
This role includes:
Managing month-end activities and journal entries for assigned entities.
Reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts.
Preparing quarterly and annual accounting and tax packages.
Maintaining U.S. GAAP accounting, Sarbanes Oxley, and company policies adherence.
Ensuring effective internal controls for accounting areas.
Coordinating local statutory accounting and outsourcing partner engagement.
Supporting internal and external audits.
Participating in ERP system implementation and maintenance.
Collaborating with external accounting partners and U.S. corporate finance team (SAP).
Engaging in finance-related projects and ad hoc tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of experience in an accounting or financial reporting role.
5+ years of experience in a multinational company and/or shared service center.
5+ years of experience working with an ERP system.
Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills.
Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking. German fluency is a strong preference.
Able to perform Essential Duties with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in SAP.
German language proficiency.
