Overview:

Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has a Class A Delivery Driver role available in Jessup, MD Join a strong and continuously evolving transportation group, helping to continue to grow our business. The Class A Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route of daily stops. The deliveries require unloading the product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly and delivering the merchandise to to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering and providing exceptional customer service.

The schedule for this position is Sunday - Thursday, from 7:00 am to finish.

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Safely operate a 53 truck or smaller
  • Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
  • Properly track and document activity log
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
  • Inspect the truck before and after trips
  • Communicate with customers with a positive, outgoing attitude
Qualifications:

You have:

  • A valid commercial drivers license
  • Must have a valid DOT medical card or be able to pass a DOT medical exam
  • A good driving record
  • 1 year of recent CDL A experience
  • 1 year of route delivery experience
  • 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
  • Ability to handle a physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted_
  • Lift gate experience
  • Strong work ethic
