Job Summary A Cardiovascular Technologist Specialist at Norman Regional Health System plays a crucial role in patient care during cardiovascular procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment.
About Norman Regional Health System Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. Our innovative cardiovascular program is expanding, and we're looking for caring knowledgeable Registered Technologists to join our team.
Responsibilities Prepares equipment before and during procedures to ensure a smooth operation.
Identifies and assesses patient condition, providing patient care with precision and compassion.
Maintains a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
Fosters strong professional working relationships with cardiologists and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS registration.
Previous Procedural Area experience is preferred but not required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS is mandatory.
BLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment. ACLS training must also be completed within 6 months.
Compensation and Benefits The estimated salary range for this position is $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience. Additional benefits include:
