Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in the state of Texas. This full-time night shift position involves providing routine and complex nursing care for patients with a mix of diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory issues, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities. The role requires practicing independently in a clinical setting while supporting the development of contingency management skills.
Job Details
Position Description: The Nurse will deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring side-effects, documenting patient history and care, and providing patient and family education.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license, and at least 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Work involves caring for patients with respiratory issues, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities. New hires must attend orientation within the first 30 days and complete competency validations, including specialized clinical skills and annual requirements.
