The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients of all ages, including those with autism and disabilities, and will be involved in discharge planning for patients transitioning from inpatient care.

*Duties*
- Assess patients’ physical and mental abilities through observation and standardized tests.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities in daily living activities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and strategies for improvement.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide support in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from hospital or inpatient settings to home or outpatient care.
- Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment.

*Skills*
- Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience working in clinic settings as well as inpatient environments such as ICU or hospitals.
- Familiarity with therapeutic techniques for pediatrics and individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients’ needs.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families.
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient requirements.
