Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled in the heart of Oklahoma, providing exceptional care to patients. We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist to join our innovative cardiovascular program.
About Us We pride ourselves on being a beacon of workplace excellence, with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists working together to deliver top-notch care. Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
We have received numerous awards for our cardiology program, including American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation, American College of Cardiology NCDR Registry Gold Award, Women's Choice Award in Heart Care, Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation, and American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation.
About the Role The successful candidate will prepare and operate medical equipment in cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and excellent patient care. This role requires teamwork with cardiologists, educating new staff, and maintaining compliance with BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care.
Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation.
Maintain a strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Education To be considered for this role, candidates must have a completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology, be eligible and/or current ARRT Registered and/or RCIS, and hold a valid Basic Life Support certification. Advanced Life Support certification is required within six months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits This rewarding role comes with an estimated salary range of $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
