Position Overview The Inventory Control Specialist/Analyst will take ownership of inventory accuracy, purchasing coordination, and ERP item data management. This hybrid role is based near Tinley Park, IL will work closely with operations, editorial, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure materials and resources are aligned with production needs. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, systems-savvy, and highly collaborative. Key Responsibilities Inventory Oversight Maintain accurate item records and classifications in the ERP system. Monitor stock levels and support regular cycle counts and audits. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Purchasing & Vendor Coordination Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure vendor follow-up. Support vendor bidding processes and analyze cost comparisons. Ensure timely and accurate invoice reconciliation. Cross-Team Collaboration Coordinate with editorial, warehouse, finance, and customer service teams. Communicate procurement status, delays, and changes across departments. Support special projects related to inventory and supply chain systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred). 3+ years in inventory control, purchasing, or supply chain roles. Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains). Strong Excel and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with solid communication and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Experience Familiarity with publishing or print production workflows. Experience coordinating vendor bids and managing multiple suppliers. Comfortable in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
