Senior Civil Engineer — Long Beach, CA (Onsite) Mangan Inc. is an employee-owned engineering and automation firm supporting clients across the energy, utility, oil & gas, renewable, and industrial markets. We are expanding our Civil Engineering team in Long Beach, CA and are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support utility power and substation-related infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Lead civil site development activities including grading, drainage, access roads, and utility coordination Prepare and oversee Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and erosion control documentation Manage permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies Collaborate with electrical, structural, and project management teams to integrate civil scope into substation and power infrastructure projects Provide construction-phase support, including site inspections and compliance with environmental and safety requirements Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet project schedules and budgets Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Typically 8+ years of relevant civil engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated experience supporting utility power, transmission, distribution, or substation-adjacent infrastructure projects Strong background in site development tied to utility infrastructure (grading, drainage, SWPPP, permitting) Proficiency with Auto CAD Civil 3 D Experience with construction documentation and construction support Preferred (but not required): Experience with Storm CAD, Hydro CAD, SWMM, Arc GIS, Revit, or Bluebeam Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or Utah Work Location This position requires onsite work in Long Beach, California Compensation Competitive base salary ($80k-$120k) commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Equal Opportunity Employer Mangan Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
