Ramtec LLC and Partners is seeks candidates for 4 positions - Senior Systems Engineers to support a high-profile Federal program in Sterling, VA. We are looking for experienced engineers who can design, configure, deploy, integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize complex enterprise systems in modern cloud-based, Dev Sec Ops environments.
This is an opportunity to work on a technically sophisticated program supporting digital engineering, cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, virtualization, APIs, data, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
We are seeking senior engineers with a strong systems perspective and the ability to work across infrastructure, applications, security, and integration domains.
Technical Focus Areas
We are hiring across several areas of expertise, including:
Enterprise Applications: Share Point, Tableau, IBM Enterprise Lifecycle, COTS applications and related enterprise platforms
Modeling / MBSE: Teamwork Cloud, Cameo, Cassandra and digital engineering environments
API & Systems Integration: API gateways, REST/Graph QL, API catalogs, message queues, streaming platforms and ETL pipelines
Citrix / Virtualization: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Net Scaler/ADC, Store Front, PVS/MCS, VDI, FSLogix and enterprise virtualization
Candidates do not need to have every technology listed below. We are particularly interested in engineers with deep expertise in one or more of these areas combined with strong overall systems engineering capabilities.
What You'll Do
Design, configure, deploy, maintain, and optimize enterprise applications and infrastructure in cloud-based environments
Implement Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) and Application as Code (Aa C) using CI/CD pipelines
Support cloud-native architectures and Dev Sec Ops practices
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, analyze logs, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
Integrate applications and systems with workflow, case management, ticketing, automation, and enterprise platforms
Develop and maintain system interfaces and integrations using technologies such as Python, Power Shell, Groovy, Java, or C#
Support identity and access management technologies including Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC
Develop comprehensive test plans and support system testing, validation, and quality assurance
Apply strong engineering rigor, configuration management, documentation, and change-management practices
Work with cross-functional engineering teams, customers, and end users to solve technical and operational challenges
Contribute to system architecture and understand the relationships between cloud services, infrastructure, applications, and security
Support Agile development teams and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Prepare technical documentation, presentations, architecture diagrams, user guides, and other program deliverables
Required Qualifications
10+ years of relevant professional experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or equivalent relevant experience
Strong systems engineering background with demonstrated engineering rigor
Expert troubleshooting and solutioning capabilities
Experience with cloud-based systems and enterprise applications
Experience with Ia C/Aa C and CI/CD
Experience with system integration, testing, and validation
Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases such as Cassandra, My SQL, or Mongo DB
Familiarity with Dev Ops tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and/or Git Lab
Knowledge of identity and access management technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong technical documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in an Agile, collaborative environment
Ability to meet Do DD 8140 requirements, including Security+ CE certification
Requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
