As an Overnight Stocking Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for our guests by ensuring products are well-stocked, correctly priced, and presented attractively on the sales floor. Your work will support all General Merchandise areas of the store as well as Food & Beverage sectors, creating a fresh and inviting environment for our guests. A typical day as an Overnight Stocking Specialist may include: Creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting all guests sincerely. Observing guest interactions to identify areas where assistance is needed. Engaging with guests through authentic conversations to better understand their needs. Being knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to assist guests effectively. Expressing gratitude to guests for choosing to shop at Target. Executing an efficient sorting operation during product unloading. Stocking, backstocking, and maintaining the organization of merchandise on the sales floor. Ensuring that products are always available for guests. Operating power equipment as certified and partnering with leadership for necessary training. Maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. Managing defective items and adhering to environmental procedures. Promoting a culture of safety and ethical conduct. Working safely and identifying potential hazards to maintain a secure environment. Supporting additional guest services as needed, such as order pickups and cashier duties. While Target provides excellent training for all team members, there are a few essential qualifications to have: Must be at least 18 years old. Possess a cheerful and helpful demeanor towards guests and fellow team members. Ability to communicate using various devices and operate technology as required. Capacity to work independently while also collaborating with a team. Quickly resolve guest inquiries while remaining composed under pressure. Detail-oriented with the ability to follow multi-step processes effectively. Maintain focus and efficiency in a busy environment, juggling multiple tasks within set timeframes.
