What you need to be successful
1. Experience: Mortgage lending experience and/or banking and sales experience is required for this role. This ensures that you have a solid foundation and understanding of the industry.
2. Education: While a high school diploma is required, a college education is preferred. This shows your commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
3. Communication: Excellent communication skills are a must. You will be interacting with customers on a regular basis, so the ability to effectively convey information and build relationships is essential.
4. Regulatory Knowledge: Having a strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance issues affecting the lending department and the institution overall is crucial.
5. Math Skills: Strong math skills are necessary for accurately calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and other financial metrics. Attention to detail is key to avoid errors and ensure precision.
