ER RN Job Details Location: Macomb, Illinois 61455 (Western Illinois travel nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Emergency Room (ER/ED) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/10/2025 – End: 1/9/2026) Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required Charting System: Cerner Millennium EMR Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state (Illinois nursing jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking skills Ability to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled Reliable, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced ER environment ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in an 11-bed Emergency Room Manage patient assignments (nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 or 1:4) Perform triage, patient assessments, and ongoing monitoring Administer medications, IVs, and manage drips as required Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and ER techs Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm) Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips (Nihon Koden system) Assist with emergency procedures and respond to critical situations Document all care accurately in Cerner Millennium EMR Float to other units or tasks as needed within the hospital Take the next step in your ER nursing career with this rewarding travel nurse assignment in Macomb, Illinois.
