Details of the position are outlined below: Position Overview: Specialty: Emergency MedicineStart Date: December 16, 2024Contract Duration: OngoingShift Schedule:12-hour shifts available, days or nightsShifts run from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AMApproximately 25-30 shifts per month with on-call coverage availableSupport Staff: 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverageAverage Daily Census: Approximately 71 patients per day Facility and Patient Details: Practice Setting: Emergency Department (ER) within a hospitalBeds: 366Patient Demographic: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsEMR System: CernerTrauma Level: Level 3Observance of Holidays: Coverage may be required on major holidays Candidate Requirements: Licensure:Must hold a current Iowa medical license or be eligible under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)Valid DEA and CSR licensesCertifications:Required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and MRT for adult and child abuse reportingBoard Certifications:Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (also accepted: ABPS, IM, or FM with Emergency Medicine experience)Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency medicineExperience with Cerner EMR: PreferredCredentialing: Process may take up to 90 daysThis position is an excellent match for skilled emergency medicine physicians interested in a high-paced, diverse, and well-supported work environment.
