A healthcare network in Connecticut is actively seeking a newInfection Preventionist for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Infection Preventionist will be responsible for participating in the management of a facility-wide Infection Prevention and Control program for the surveillance, prevention and control of infection. Responsibilities: TheInfection Preventionist will: Collect, analyze, and report data, the formulation and review of policies and procedures Plan, implement, evaluate and revise infection prevention and control practices Conduct outbreak and cluster investigations as indicated Participate in employee education programs Collaborate with the Infectious Disease physicians, Microbiologists, and other health care providers regarding infectious or employee health related issues Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 3+ years of Hospital Nursing experience with CT Registered Nurse (RN) license; or, Master's Degree in a Health-related field with their Certification in Infection Control (CIC) Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements such as Joint Commission and CMS, and in Outbreak investigation
