We are actively searching for a qualified physician to join our team and provide vital call coverage for patients with cardiovascular conditions across our 400-bed facility. This long-term locum tenens position offers the flexibility of covering weekend shifts. This unique position offers the chance to make a significant impact while enjoying a call-only schedule: Focused Inpatient Call: Provide essential after-hours call coverage for inpatients with cardiovascular conditions, managing an average of 10-15 patients per shift. Weekend shifts begin at 5:00 pm on Friday and conclude at 8:00 am on Monday. Collaboration is Key: Work alongside a team of cardiologists, hospitalists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Streamlined Workflow: Utilize the familiar Epic electronic medical record system for documentation and patient management. Temporary Commitment: This locum tenens position offers flexibility, with the opportunity to cover ongoing weekend call needs. We Value Your Expertise: We are seeking a board-certified Cardiologist who possesses a valid medical license in Illinois or an Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC) license (for future dates where no emergency privileges are required). Current certification in ACLS is mandatory. Temporary privileges are not available for this opportunity. Fellowship training is required.
