A local Wolcott, CT company is searching for a CNC Setup/Operator who will have core responsibilities within the manufacturing shop. This dynamic manufacturing environment is growing and is looking to hire a collaborative worker who will help grow the company to a new level of production. CNC Setup/Operators work independently and as part of a team, at times with limited supervision.

You will work with senior CNC machinists and other skilled tradesman, offering an opportunity to gain on the job training. You will set up, operate, and control CNC lathes to perform a combination of machining operations.

 CNC Setup/Operator job highlights:

• Competitive pay range of $20-$30 per hour depending on experience

 What we look for in CNC Setup/Operators:

• Prior experience setting up and operating 2-axis CNC lathes
• Familiarity with Okuma or Fanuc controls; knowledge of OmniTurn lathes is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to change and set tools, make offset adjustments, read machine prints
• Ability to work with close tolerances in a short-run production environment
• Proficiency using micrometers, calipers and other MTE
• Strong basic math knowledge and computer literacy
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
