Summary:
D-BAT Allen is currently seeking a Baseball Hitting Instructor/Coach in the Player Development Department. This hitting instructor will be responsible for the training and mentorship of athletes with a specific focus on pitching/throwing mechanics.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
The Baseball Hitting Instructor/Coach will be expected to:
Implement an organizational hitting development program
Plan daily hitting sessions for athletes scheduled
Analyze hitter's performance using tools, reports and technology
Prescribe and monitor a development plan for each pitcher based on areas of opportunity
Collaborate with affiliate Strength Coach and Performance staff to identify and act on solutions related to physical limitations/opportunities
Communicate plans, goals and progress with players and parents
Requirements / Qualifications:
High School/Collegiate/Professional playing experience preferred
Ability to understand and advocate for changes due to new information and or tools in baseball
Ability to work and communicate well with people
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in basic use of computers including Microsoft Office
Additional Requirements / Qualifications:
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as bending, reaching, and throwing
Compensation:
- Compensation will be based on qualifications and prior experience
