SUMMARY:

The supply chain analyst works closely with stakeholders across the company to ensure customer orders are met, and that product change cycles are managed effectively – from forecast, to order, through engineering changes, and ultimately to end of life. They monitor and assemble data sets for the Director of Supply Chain and contribute to data driven processes that involve the supply chain and quality teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist the Director of Supply Chain & Quality in developing methods to automate and streamline data collection for KPIs.

· Assist in the forecasting process for new product introduction and evaluate products for discontinuance.

· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Make recommendations, and work to implement them.

· Evaluate monthly affiliate forecasts for accuracy and highlight changes that may be needed to optimize or correct production/purchasing buy patterns.

· Use their experience and data to identify critical pathways to success in cross-functional teams including warehouse, inventory control, planning, QC, R&D, marketing, & purchasing.

· Cross-train with production planning staff to assist and offer coverage as needed.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Supply Chain certification is preferred (CPIM, or CSCP)

Exceptional data management skills in Microsoft Excel are a must. A deeper knowledge of data management tools like Tableau and Access would be helpful.

Experience with Oracle Cloud is preferred, but not necessary.

Ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges that need to be addressed.

Excellent communication and organization skills.

Ability to prioritize many competing tasks, think through the options quickly, commit to an action plan, and execute.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, supervisors, and employees.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


COMPUTER SKILLS:

Knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Planning and Order Processing software; including knowledge of Oracle is a plus. Advanced Excel including vLookups and Pivot Tables.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Be a pro-active individual with a “can-do” attitude. Ability to execute problem solving techniques. Able to use time efficiently and prioritize and plan work activities. Must demonstrate accuracy, productivity and thoroughness while monitoring own work.
