RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform oral inspections and examinations
- Order and take dental x-rays
- Perform supra and subgingival scaling
- Place temporary restorations and recement crowns
- Remove structures
- Perform oral prophylaxis and polishing
- Assist in teaching dental employees relating to in-service programs and training
- Participate in dental health education, including preventative care, and nutrition
- Assist in the planning and development of programs for oral preventative care and coordinate the dental treatment for patients or clients of community agencies
- Assist in oral health education activities at community agencies
- Participate in community oral health screening activities
- Assist in the maintenance of dental supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned or when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate or Diploma from accredited Dental Hygiene School or College required
- New York State License required
- Minimum of three years experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole preferred.
