This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with our customers and government leadership. Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily IT operations to ensure systems and networks function smoothly and efficiently.
  • Identify high-potential employees, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and build high-performing teams by selecting and promoting individuals who align with technical requirements, contractual objectives, and organizational culture.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth while holding each individual contributor to consistent performance standards.
  • Engage in the community to identify candidate resource pools and look for talented people outside of the traditional job search engines.
  • Develop and implement professional development plans to enhance team members' skills and career progression including knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and training programs to keep the team updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Conduct and oversee regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback and identify training opportunities.
  • Oversee scheduling and timecard management to ensure accurate tracking of work hours and shift coverage.
  • Ensure all contractual deliverables for assigned technical disciplines are met on time and in compliance with Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).
  • Engage with senior leadership to align IT initiatives with overall organizational strategy and business objectives.
  • Support business development opportunities by identifying IT solutions that drive growth, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols, data privacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Plan and coordinate IT infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Interface with government leadership to track their needs and ensure resources are aligned to help them achieve their strategic objectives.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, and 15+ years of general IT experience and 5 years of those being in a leadership position.
  • Experience in IT operations management, contract management, or project management with teams of 40+, preferably supporting the DOD.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading geographically separated teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing contractual deliverables.
  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, system administration, virtualization, and client protection.
  • Ability to mentor and develop employees, supporting their growth and career progression.

Certifications

Required:

  • Security+ or other qualifying DOD 8570 IATII certification.
  • If a candidate does not have technical certifications, one or more may be identified to accomplish within 120 Days.

Desired:

  • Microsoft MCSA or MCSE 2012 or newer
  • CCNA / CCNP
  • Palo Alto PCNSA
  • VMWARE VCTA/VCP
  • PMP

Security Clearance

  • Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting.

Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)

  • The primary shift for this position is Monday – Friday day shift; however, this is a 24/7/365 mission, and the nature of this role may require flexibility based on operational requirements.
  • Certification requirements are subject to change at the government's direction. If this occurs you will have 120 days to become compliant.
