Position Overview:
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Audit Supervisor to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two busy seasons as a Senior Auditor and be actively working towards obtaining their CPA designation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth, providing exposure to a wide range of clients and industries, with an emphasis on Nonprofit (NFP) and Single Audit experience. The Audit Supervisor will oversee audit engagements, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the planning, execution, and completion of audits for a variety of clients, including nonprofits and organizations subject to Single Audit requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate client relationships, maintaining clear and consistent communication to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to staff auditors, reviewing their work, providing training, and ensuring that audit procedures are followed.
  • Review work papers and financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement in clients' internal controls and financial reporting, providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit reports and deliverables, including findings and recommendations for management.
  • Ensure that audits are completed within budget and on schedule, identifying potential issues and addressing them proactively.
  • Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and the highest level of service to clients.
  • Assist Audit Managers and Partners with complex audit issues, client communication, and special projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA in process (must be actively pursuing CPA certification).
  • A minimum of 2 busy seasons as a Senior Auditor in public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in performing audits for Nonprofit (NFP) organizations and Single Audit engagements is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and staff at all levels.
  • Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and develop junior staff.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
