Due to our growing student body and high demand for enrollment, we are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and flexible Elementary School Teacher to join our team. This teacher will help us continue our mission of providing a high-quality, personalized education that meets the needs of our diverse students.
Job Description:
The Elementary School Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction that is personalized for neurodivergent students. The teacher will work closely with a supportive team to create an inclusive classroom where students can thrive. The ideal candidate will bring a flexible, student-centered approach to teaching, including familiarity with Project-Based Learning (PBL), to engage and motivate students at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that support students' diverse learning needs, with a strong focus on remediation.
- Use Project-Based Learning (PBL) to engage students in real-world, hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
- Modify instruction and assessments based on students' abilities and needs, using differentiated strategies to accommodate various learning styles and neurodivergent traits.
- Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
- Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and challenged.
- Use data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings to contribute to the overall growth and success of the school.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification (in Georgia or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with neurodivergent students, or an interest in developing expertise in this area.
- Knowledge of and experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) or other innovative teaching methodologies.
- Flexible and adaptable teaching style, with the ability to modify plans to meet individual student needs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Passion for working with underprivileged populations and making a difference in students' lives.
